- Apparitions - The term covers all visionary appearances, hallucinations, clairvoyance, and similar unusual perceptions. "Apparition" and "ghost" are frequently used as synonymous terms, though the former is, of course, of much wider significance.
- Astral Projection/Out of Body - Astral projection is an intentional out-of-body experience achieved consciously. It typically involves a sensation of floating outside of one's body and, in some cases, seeing one's physical body from outside oneself.
- Automatic Writing, Drawing, & Painting - The process, or product, of writing material that does not come from the conscious thoughts of the writer. The writer's hand forms the message, and the person is unaware of what will be written.
- Channeling - Communicating with any consciousness that is not in human form by allowing that consciousness to express itself through the channel (or channeler). Find articles and channeling.
- Chem Trails - Conspiracy theories regarding unnatural vapor trails in the sky which allegedly hold "chemicals." Chemtrails form when certain aircraft leave behind contrails thought to be laden with "chemicals." Contrails are formed by condensation of water vapor in the aircraft's exhausts.
- Clairvoyance & Clairaudience - Form of extra-sensory perception in which a psychic acquires knowledge about a contemporary object, situation, or event by paranormal means.
- Crop Circles - Beautiful geometrical formations of flattened crops found in England and elsewhere. Many people believe they are the work of extraterrestrials.
- Cryptozoology (Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, etc) - The search for animals that are rumored to exist, but for which conclusive proof is missing.

- Elongation - The phenomenon of elongation is a fairly common one at spiritualistic séances. It may be described as a stretching out of the medium's body, till his height is increased by from three inches to nearly a foot. The feat is ascribed to spirit agencies.
- Emanations - Modern Spiritualism claims that all physical phenomena such as materializations, levitation, apports, table-rapping etc. are produced by the spirits' manipulations of the medium's more physical emanations in such a way as to give them power to manifest materially and control matter.
