Individual and Collective Consciousness

Our thoughts are not separate from those of others.
THOUGHT
Pure thought is not created by consciousness. Thought exists as a potential reality. Consciousness draws from the infinite well of potential thought that is available and collects it around itself, so to speak.
Your brain is a highly sophisticated biocomputer. It is used by your consciousness as a means of manifesting thought. When an essence is incarnate, it brings part of its consciousness into the biocomputer, which processes and stores it. All sentient creatures, whether or not they have human-like brains, have a means of processing and storing part of their essence’s consciousness.
Individual consciousness joins into collective consciousness. For instance, there is the collective consciousness of all human beings on earth. There is the collective consciousness of this entire universe—all consciousness in it is part of it. It gives rise to what is known as God.
KNOWLEDGE
Does intelligence grow from life to life as you learn things?
Intelligence as it is usually thought of is largely a function of heredity and imprinting. However, talents and knowledge, in the sense of working understanding as opposed to raw information, grow with experience. For example, let’s say you were an accomplished musician in a past life. In this lifetime, you don’t play a musical instrument and you are not involved in music, but you develop your spiritual perception. The next lifetime in which you play a musical instrument, you will not only carry forward the substance of what you previously learned about music, but you will be able to play music with the added spiritual perception developed in the present lifetime, which would add a dimension to your playing. It all fits together.
You make your knowledge available to those closest to you. You are like a radio transmitter: the reception comes in best nearby. So those with whom you are closest benefit most from your past and present experience. The farther away you are from someone the weaker your signal is. However, that is all right, because the farther away you are from someone, the less useful to him your personal knowledge is likely to be.
THOUGHT CREATES
[Question asked at a lecture.] If we create all things with our thoughts, are you a creation of our group mind?
While all things spring from thought, obviously no one individual or group creates all things. However, it is up to you to validate for yourself if we, the Michael entity, are a creation of the group mind of those present. Let us know what you decide!
CHOOSING A TOPIC
[Question asked at a lecture.] With so many truths to speak about, why did you choose to speak on fear and living in the now to this particular group?
These topics are apropos for many right now in view of larger influences at work. How many of you find them to be relevant to your life this week? [Most present raised their hands.] Most of you do not know one another, so you have not been discussing these issues on the telephone. We are all one, and certain subjects are issues for the collective mind at specific times. It is not that those here are especially in need of a pep talk to live in the now. Had we been giving this talk somewhere else at this time, it might have been similar, although the specific wording is dictated by its appropriateness for those present. We wish to speak in a way that you can receive.
